Abstract
Equinor is a complex organization with long value chains. In this context, IT disciplines have a ubiquitous presence across all parts of the company, from subsurface exploration, to optimization of wind farms but also marketing and trading. In this talk I will give an overview of Equinor’s ambitions and how IT disciplines fit in the picture. I will then present a selection of open source projects we maintain and develop. And I will conclude with some thoughts on how to approach software development in such a large organization. Attendees are welcome to participate actively and contribute to making this event an open discussion.
