Algorithms and complexity research has moved strongly into a multivariate era. The power of the mathematical methods that are deployable, and the complexities of the natural datasets that the algorithmic methods are deployed to understand, have led to a situation where visualization of what is going on and what is known or conjectural is fast-becoming a central muscle in scientific method, and of science and scholarship in general. The talk will explore what seem promising leads in the interface between multivariate algorithm design and visualization.
